Weekly Wishes 2024A: Week 2

In addition to last week’s delayed start and lost day, we’re off Monday for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, but school has already been cancelled for Tuesday. That means revamping my lesson plans. (The ones I just wrote… sigh.)

At any rate, my English classes went pretty smoothly last week, particularly so given the scheduling challenges. And while the elective still has some hiccups, I do feel like things are improving.

Here’s what I’d like to accomplish this week:

  • Upload and edit the screen recordings from Duolingo and Goodreads.
  • Record podcasts Monday & Thursday.
  • ESOL assignment turned in.
  • Check whether tutoring is still a go for Tuesday.
  • Print Waiting for Godot.
  • Have students review and request books from the classroom library and go to the school library.
  • Continue responding to the daily feedback forms.
  • Finish and return Axiom’s End.
  • Draft a blog post looking back at my 2023 WFTY (word for the year).
  • Check in on Capitol Day and invite colleagues to go.
  • Write script for the Nouns video.
  • Review monologues for next Monday’s audition.
  • Write a “wins” post for Friday.
